Under the brand name Toll Solutions International, Sanef develops, provides and implements tailor-made electronic toll collection systems for countries and local authorities wishing to implement toll collection systems in order to solve their traffic congestion problems or to collect mileage tax. For this market, Sanef has important assets: longstanding experience in the European market as concerns DSRC microwave electronic toll collection, as well as GPS satellite technology expertise thanks to its subsidiary masternaut.

Today Sanef’s know-how and operational experience enable it to respond successfully to electronic toll collection proposition requests issued by major regional or national accounts.

In association with its V-Flow consortium partners, Sanef Toll Solutions International thus won a € 50M-contract in 2006 for the provision, operation and maintenance of a “no-stopping” electronic toll collection system for the Golden Ears bridge in Vancouver, Canada. Another major contract won in 2006: the implementation of “no-stopping”, free flow mode, electronic toll collection of the M50 Dublin ring road. Within the framework of this contract worth over € 113M, Sanef finds itself entrusted for 8 years with operating the system through a range of activities covering toll collection by electronic toll collection or photography, penalty control, subscription management and system maintenance.
